My newest album includes 5 contemporary works for trombone by living composers and 5 settings of the hymn “For the Beauty of the Earth” which unifies the project under the theme of gratitude.

I am joined on the album by pianist and composer David Rodgers, as well as a virtual choir of friends and family members.

It was recorded at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee in December of 2020. The album was recorded by Kevin Edlin, produced by Nick Laufer, and edited, mixed, and mastered by Jeremy Wilson and David Rodgers.

Digital album download includes MP3s of each track, a pdf of program notes, and hi-res album artwork.

The album cover artwork is by Stephen Crotts

Why would I make this album available for free?

Because it’s been a hard year, I want to increase joy and gratitude in the world, and I don’t want finances to prevent someone from hearing this music. Album sales are not a huge source of income for me, but music can be a huge source of inspiration for someone in a rough season. I haven’t had time to get the album on streaming services yet, and in the meantime I want people to hear and enjoy this project. And you can always pay for the album if you prefer.
